In Memoriam: Dr. Madhav N. Sinha, Canada
January 1945 – April 2022

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Dr. Madhav N. Sinha, Academician Emeritus of the International Academy for Quality (IAQ), who left us in April 2022 at the age of 77.

Dr. Sinha was a luminary in the field of quality management, dedicating his life to advancing the principles of quality and innovation across industries and borders. As a professional engineer, academic, author, and leader, he profoundly impacted the global quality community. His legacy includes numerous publications, leadership roles, and the nurturing of countless professionals who continue to carry forward his vision of excellence.

A devout and compassionate individual, Dr. Sinha's warmth and generosity were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His work as President of the Canadian Society for Quality and his academic contributions to the discipline earned him deep respect and admiration.

While his passing is an irreplaceable loss to the quality fraternity, his pioneering contributions and the memories he leaves behind remain a beacon of inspiration.
